The Hacks Hame of Fall
Diamondhacks is proud to announce that construction is now complete on The Hacks Hame of Fall, scheduled to open to the public shortly.
The Hacks Hame of Fall was founded to recognize players and other pioneers who have facilitated, or gloriously embodied, the downfall of The Arizona Diamondbacks - and will present it's charter class of inductees this week.
Unlike that other Hall of Fame, The Hacks Hame of Fall doesn't require a five year waiting period for induction, and food and beverages will be allowed inside the plaque room.
The Hacks Hame of Fall Picking Committee convenes in the north cupola at a moment's notice to select inductees from candidates furnished by the public(via the Comments tool, below) and from...well, you can be goddam sure they'll be furnished one way or another.

That would be Pres. Richard Dozer, Bob. And even if he's not the ticket guy exactly, we'll insist that he is, for Hame purposes.

I want to nominate Shawn Green. Today I was listening to the game while I was writing and Byrnesie wasn't batting, and I heard that Orlando Hudson had to go far into right field to catch a ball that would have been much easier for Green to catch. O-Dawg made the catch, but the CARDINALS ANNOUNCERS were talking about the fact that Green seemed to want no part of that ball even though he had an easier play on it than Hudson.
This is the guy whose $18 million presence in right field meant that the way to accomodate DaVanon's hot start was to bench Byrnes, despite his (Green's) snail start to the season.
BTW, Green went 0-4 with 3 Ks tonight. He made some fine catches when he was hitting. Does he think that offense and defense are linked like conjoined twins?

From what we understand, Green's bat and glove are named Chang and Eng, respectively.
Diamondhacks is hard pressed to name a player who alternatively hits,fields and runs quite so well - or abysmally - like Shawn on any given day .
